Getting Started

1. pointing your existing domain name to our servers - you will need to contact your domain name provider or use a control panel they supplied:
   go to name servers administration / managing area and change the
   primary nameserver to ns1.uk-sites.biz (ip address 212.67.206.69 if requested) and the
   secondary nameserver to ns2.uk-sites.biz (ip address 212.67.206.7 if requested)
   once this is done it will take up to 24hrs to filter its way through the Internet

2. your new control panel on our server - is where you can do all the basic running and maintenance of your website - click the  User Control Panel  above enter your name and password we have supplied and explore. Hosting Package users will need to use this control panel to set up email accounts etc. Design Package users will mainly use this control panel just to view visitor statistics.

3. loading up your website (for Hosting Package users) - with your ftp software log onto to our server at ftp://uk-sites.biz or ftp.uk-sites.biz enter your username and password when it is requested and then follow the instructions on your ftp software to load your website. If you have the Design Package we will do this process for you.

Hosting Package Basics

      Log onto your control panel - click the  User Control Panel  - and follow the instruction to:-

• change and add email addresses

• check your hits

• submit your website to search engines

• retrieve your email setup details

• change your password

• set up an email auto-reply

• plus a host of extras for the more confident user - see below

Hosting Package Extras

Our Hosting Package also includes the following options for the more confident user.

Counter
This script displays a count of the number of visitors to your web site. The count increments automatically each time someone visits your site.

Guest Book
Allow visitors to your site to leave their comments for you and your users to see.

Bulletin Board
A WWW discussion board script allowing for threaded discussions on your web site. Bulletin Board includes a powerful administrative tool for the site owner to manage the board.

Whois
Check the availability of domain names online. Allows complete customisation of output through the use of a HTML template and integrates with online order forms.

MailForm
MailForm is a WWW form to e-mail gateway, which will parse the results of any form and send them to the e-mail address you specify. This script has many features which will allow you to control the output of the script.

Redirect
Redirect users to pages on your site using select boxes or drop down lists.
